that's an interesting idea, I don't think too many severs only support HTML any more though, most at least have php4. It's kind of a cool idea but it's not real good if your collaborating with anyone who doesn't have dreamweaver. But hey if that's what works for you, by all means

Yeah, PHP is pretty much a necessity with any modern website.

I use PHP, and I refuse to use anything else when there is no reason not to.

That's like saying you shouldn't use C++ simply because Pascal, Delphi, Java, C# etc. exist.

No, it's like saying you shouldn't use C++ because C++ isn't available. In corporate environments you generally don't have a choice about what technology you will be asked to use. Are you going to quit your job over it?

There are many common cases where the usual server-side tricks aren't available, including embedded web servers (network cameras, routers, and other appliances) and HTML-based help files either loaded locally in a browser or compiled into a *.CHM help file (or similar).
